Very Important - Please Read

Shirt Measurement

• These shirts are made to order so we cannot accept returns.  

• These are not custom fitted shirts.  We alter manufactured shirts that are commonly used in the rental industry and retail sales.  if you normally have your shirt custom tailored because of your body type our shirts probably will not fit you well.  We cannot adjust the chest area.

• We offer fitted shirts in some styles.  Our regular fit shirts tend to run large in the chest and waist areas so that they can accommodate a wide variety of body sizes.  We ask for chest and belly to determine if we need to give you a fitted shirt or to trim the back panel.  Even after doing this if you have a slight frame you need to be aware that the shirt may be loose and the seam at the shoulder may drop over.  You may need to use stretchers for a snugger fit. 

• Any error in shirt neck size, sleeve length, or shirt style that is made by us will be picked up and corrected at no charge.  Please check chest and neck specs above to make sure we can fit you.  If you are confident your measurements don't fit the above consider going up or down in neck size to fit your chest area.  We alter your shirt to neck and sleeve length and only use neck and chest to try and give you a better fit.  We can't alter the chest area, only trim or open the belly area some.

• We highly recommend you watch the video at the bottom of this page on how to properly measure your neck and sleeve.  You do not measure from the seam at your shoulder.  The measurement starts at the spine at the bottom of the collar / neck, down to a slightly bent elbow and to where you want the cuff to end.  Oftentimes you can find the neck and sleeve length on the neck tag of a dress shirt hanging in your closet.  Our men’s shirts start at a 30-31” sleeve length.  Unless you are shorter than 5’2” you will probably not need a sleeve smaller than that.  If in doubt about sleeve length you are better off getting too large than small.  If the sleeve length is to long you can have it altered locally.  If you order undersized you will have to return the shirt and the fabric will have to be replaced at a minimum cost of $40.   
   

Army   

• Our ASU / AGSU substitute is a standard white dress shirt or tuxedo shirt.  It is not a regulation shirt.  There are no applets on the shoulders or front pockets with flaps.   AGSU / ASU shirts are not available to us at wholesale pricing.  The manufactures of your shirts are contracted out by the government or by supply houses (Marlow).  If you must have an AGSU shirt you will have to send one to us to be altered.  If you send us your shirt you will receive a $15 discount (long sleeve recommended).
   
• Women's Army blouses are not stocked.  If you want an altered mess dress women's blouse you will have to send it to us.
   

Air Force / Army Mess Dress

• Standard mess dress is a lay down collar, pleated front,  AF requires a French cuff tuxedo shirt.  Some click on wing tip when ordering.  Although you may think it applies to the AF it is not what regs require.  Although not regulation (barrel vs. French cuff) you may want to consider the poly cotton which takes studs and cufflinks.  Women Air Force regs do not require a French cuff and we only carry laydown, pleated, polycotton shirts.  All tuxedo shirts take studs and cuff links.
   

Common Questions

• If you don’t see the fabric you want or want a fabric not on our site show us where to get it and we will bring it in.
   
• Please don’t ask us to create custom fabrics with copyrighted images.  You must show proof of ownership or a letter releasing us / giving us permission to use the image.
   
• If you are worried about delivery time because your fabric is not in the $85 category call or email us to check availability.  We have hundreds of fabrics in stock.  If it’s not in stock it usually only takes 3-4 days to get it in.  Most shirts even when not in stock are delivered in less than two weeks (custom printed fabrics allow 3 weeks for delivery).   
   
• APO, AE, overseas addresses cannot be tracked after leaving the US.  From what we have heard it takes about two weeks after shipping.  We ship all order priority mail which usually arrives at their destination 2 – 3 days after shipping.    .        
• If you want different fabric on the sleeves than the back go to 'alternate sleeves' category and type in the name of the fabric you want and add to cart.  Choose back only for the fabric on the back and fill in all the dropdowns.
